Marcus & Millichap Sells in Southwest

 

Marcus & Millichap brokered the following sales:

•    Two-property CubeSmart (managed) portfolio in Apache Junction, Arizona. Palatine Capital was the seller and MyPlace Self Storage and Nuveen were the buyers.
•    Castlerock Storage in Mineola, Texas, to a Carolinas-based storage investment group. 

 

 

Capranos Joins Cubby as President

 

Software firm Cubby has named Andrew Capranos as president, Self Storage. Capranos was most recently president of 10 Federal Self Storage. 

 

Boardwalk Buys 7-Property Alabama Portfolio

 

Boardwalk Development Group announced that Boardwalk Storage Fund V successfully closed on the acquisition of a seven-property Sun Self Storage portfolio in Auburn and Opelika, Alabama. With the acquisition, Boardwalk purchased a 43-year-old operating business representing an estimated 33% share of the market’s total inventory.

 

Storable Names Chancellor CEO

 

Storable has named Scott Chancellor as its new CEO. He succeeds cofounder Chuck Gordon, who led the company for 18 years and will continue to serve on the board. Chancellor was most recently CEO of Aircall.io, a cloud-based voice and customer communication platform for sales and support teams. 

 

Calcumate Unveils 3D Version

 

Calcumate launched Calcumate3D, the next generation of its 3D storage size guide. Key features include a new design, a new stacking algorithm and interactive 3D space. 

 

Storage Mall Names Leadership

 

The Storage Mall Management Group promoted Cody Moore to take an expanded role focused on client relations and technology. Blanca Cobb is the new director of business development. 

 

DXD Capital Opens Virginia New-Build

 

DXD Capital opened a new facility in Richmond, Virginia, built by Evans Construction and designed by SAA Architects. Extra Space Storage will manage the property.

 

Volta Buys Miami Mixed-Use

 

Volta Global has purchased Westland Plaza in Hialeah, Florida for $17.35 million. The mixed-use center includes a three-story self storage facility along with 50,000 square feet of retail. 

 

EquiCap Brokers Illinois Sale

 

EquiCap Commercial brokered the sale of the two-property Peoria Storage Center portfolio located in Peoria and Bellevue, Illinois. 

 

Lindsey Sells Dallas-Area Project

 

Lindsey Self Storage Group brokered the sale of Greenfill Storage in the Dallas-Fort Worth-area to a private buyer. 

 

Clarion Buys Florida Storage

 

Clarion Partner acquired an Extra Space Storage (managed) facility in Plantation, Florida, for $20.9 million.
