View Pointe Self Storage has opened in Edgewood, Washington. The business is located at 10315 12th St Ct E, just east of Meridian Ave East. Edgewood is about 8 miles east of Tacoma.
The storage facility is owned by View Pointe LLC and was designed by Stephen Bourne of Site + Plan + Mix LLC. It features 680 units. The facility was built by JPR Construction, LLC, based in North Bend, Washington, and is professionally managed by West Coast Self-Storage Group of Everett, WA.
West Coast Self-Storage Group is a self-storage property management, acquisition, and development company headquartered in Everett, WA. The company currently has 55 managed and owned locations with thirty-nine stores in Washington, nine stores in Oregon, and seven stores in California.

storEDGE is now part of the SpareFoot and SiteLink self storage technology family. storEDGE offers marketing websites, online rentals and cloud access control tools.
Dan Miller will remain president of storEDGE. Chuck Gordon will be CEO of the combined platform.

Life Storage Launches Warehouse Anywhere
Life Storage Inc., has launched an intelligent warehousing solution by Warehouse Anywhere, a subsidiary, to help solve the final mile delivery challenge of its corporate customers. Warehouse Anywhere provides third-party logistics and warehousing services through a forward deployed, unmanned, decentralized model combining storage asset management with proprietary inventory tracking technology. As a final mile delivery solution, Warehouse Anywhere gets products closer to customers, reduces logistics costs, increases inventory tracking accuracy and improves delivery time.
Storage King Enters MS Market
Andover Properties, LLC, which operates under the Storage King USA brand has acquired a three-property portfolio in Ocean Springs and Gulfport, Mississippi.
The purchase consists of two self storage facilities and an enclosed RV and boat storage facility and additional land for expansion. The properties span over 112,000 square feet and 700 units, including the RV parking.
The deal is Andover’s first acquisition in Mississippi. New York City-based Andover Properties also owns and operates self storage facilities in Florida, Maryland, North and South Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Virginia under its trade name Storage King USA.
Affordable Sells in Texas
Affordable Self-Storage in Anna, Texas, has sold in a deal brokered by real estate firm Marcus & Millichap. Affordable Self-Storage is a 51,555-square-foot self storage facility located near McKinney. Built in stages from 2004 to 2015, the facility is on 6.73 acres of land.
Brandon Karr, First Vice President Investments and Danny Cunningham, Senior Associate in Marcus & Millichap’s Fort Worth office, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, a private investor who constructed and operated the property himself. The buyer was a local storage owner/operator with several facilities throughout the state.

Public Storage Buys Near Charleston, SC
Summerville Self Storage in Summerville, South Carolina, has sold to Public Storage.
Summerville Self Storage has 405 units in 53,859 NRSF. The facility was built in 2007 and expanded in 2017. Summerville is 23 miles northwest of Charleston.
Bill Bellomy and Michael Johnson of Bellomy & Co. represented the sellers, an Austin, Texas-based private equity company and Absolute Storage Management of Memphis. The team also procured the buyer, Public Storage.
Bellomy & Co. is an Austin and Houston commercial real estate firm with a team exclusively focused on the self storage industry.
Mele Elected to new role at Marcus & Millichap
Michael A. Mele has been elected executive managing director investments with Marcus & Millichap.
Mike specializes in self storage property investments and serves as an executive director of the National Self Storage Group. In 2017, he was the No. 1 self storage agent and the No. 23 agent companywide. Mike joined Marcus & Millichap in May 1999 as an agent in the Tampa office.
Mike graduated from West Chester University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. He is a frequent guest speaker at industry events, and is a contributing writer for various self storage publications.
Iron Guard Buys in Indiana
Iron Guard Storage has purchased a 680-unit, 80,875-square-foot self storage facility located at 4619 Washington Ave. in Evansville, Indiana.
Jeffrey L. Herrmann, Sean M. Delaney and Michael A. Mele, investment specialists in Marcus & Millichap's Chicago Oak Brook and Tampa offices, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, a limited liability company. The buyer, Iron Guard Storage, was also secured and represented by Herrmann, Delaney and Mele. Josh Caruana assisted in closing the transaction as the broker of record in Indiana.
This transaction marked the 26th self storage transaction this year by The Mele Storage Group of Marcus & Millichap.
The property, previously known as Washington Avenue Mini Storage, has 144 climate-controlled storage units and 536 drive-up units.
New Storage Opens near University of Kansas
2020, LLC., has opened a new location named University Storage in Lawrence, Kansas. The newly constructed facility at 1607 West 23rd Street comprises 50,000 square feet of rentable storage space in 326 units.
The facility is located at the intersection of West 23rd Street and Iowa St.

PTI Security systems and WiZR have announced a partnership to offer a cloud-based Artificial Intelligence-enabled video analytics solution through the PTI CORE platform.
