SkyView Leads Two Sales

 

SkyView Advisors brokered the following sales:

A self storage facility managed by Life Storage in the Nashville, Tennessee metro area. Aaron Sanchez and Ryan Clark represented the seller.

Shepherd & Mustang Portfolio OKC in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma MSA. Scott Schoettlin and Ryan Clark represented the seller.

 

REITS to Announce Earnings

 

The self storage public REITs will announce Q3 earnings in the coming weeks. Here are their plans:

CubeSmart will announce results for the three months ending Sept. 30 and hold a conference call on Friday, Nov. 5 at 11 am ET.

National Storage Affiliates will hold a conference call on Nov. 3 at 1 pm ET.

Public Storage will hold a conference call on Tuesday, Nov. 2 at 9 am PDT.

Life Storage will announced earnings Nov. 4.

Extra Space Storage will hold a conference call Thursday, Oct. 28 at 1 pm ET.

 

CubeSmart Recognized for Diversity

 

CubeSmart was named as a Champion of Board Diversity by the Forum of Executive Women. The award recognizes companies in the greater Philadelphia region whose corporate boards are composed of at least 30% women. This is the sixth time CubeSmart has been recognized for this honor.

 

Colliers Arranges Illinois Deal

 

Colliers Chicago arranged the sale of Posen Storage in Posen, Illinois. Dan Lynch represented the buyer, National Storage Affiliates, and the seller, Safe Affordable Storage LLC, in the transaction. The property was built in 2020.

 

Marcus & Millichap Brokers Multiple Deals

 

Marcus & Millichap brokered the following sales:

• A-Z At the Fork, a self storage facility in Paw Paw, Michigan. Sean Delaney  had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, a private investor. Steve Chaben assisted.

• Banning Mini Storage in Banning, California. Keith Phillips and Adam Schlosser  had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, a California-based LLC.

• Middle Island Self Storage in Middle Island, New York. The property sold for $25 million. The former owner was Madison Development, a New York City-based developer. Nathan Coe, Brett Hatcher and Gabriel Coe managed the deal.

• Marina Cove Storage in American Fork, Utah. Jordan Farrer and Schlosser represented the seller.

• AA Self Storage in Junction City, Kansas. Delaney and Robert Cook had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, a limited liability company. The buyer was also a limited liability company.

• Crowley Storage and Happy Storage in the Fort Worth, Texas suburb of Crowley. Brandon Karr and Danny Cunningham had the exclusive listing to market the property.

• All Valley Mini Storage in Sedro-Woolley, Washington. Christopher R. Secreto had the exclusive listing to market the facility on behalf of the seller, a limited liability company based in Washington. The buyer was a regional investment group.

 

Simply Acquires 7-Store Portfolio

 

Simply Self Storage acquired a seven-property self storage portfolio in Houston, Texas, and a single self storage property in Dallas, according to YahooFinance.

Simply Self Storage owns and operates a portfolio spanning 23 states.

 

Dominus Closes Deal to NSA

 

The Dominus Commercial Inc. team of Chad Snyder and Tyler Trahant closed on 21 separate self storage facilities by August 2021. Snyder and Trahant are the Argus Self Storage Advisory Group affiliate for North Texas. The most recent transactions included Cutting Horse Self Storage in Weatherford, Texas, and Affordable Self Storage in Anna, Texas. Both properties were purchased by National Storage Affiliates and will be managed by Blue Sky Self Storage, one of NSA’s PROs. 

 

U-Haul Converting Kmart

 

U-Haul Moving & Storage of Northgate has opened in a former Kmart store in Manteca, California. U-Haul plans to remodel the property, which was acquired in August.

 

IRE Sells A-Plus

 

Investment Real Estate, LLC brokered the sale of A-Plus Self Storage, LLC in Lenhartsville, Pennsylvania, to a private buyer. Matt Rosendale managed the transaction.

 

Wisconsin Retail Converting to Storage

 

Larkspur Acquisitions plans to repurpose the Shopko building in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and convert it to self storage, according to Kenosha News.

Larkspur Acquisitions is based in Miami. Shopko closed in 2019.

 

O’Neill Promoted at IRE

 

Investment Real Estate, LLC has promoted Tiffany O’Neill to transactions coordinator. O’Neill will compile, manage and analyze due diligence in preparation of real estate closings. She is a member of the Self Storage Association and Pennsylvania Self Storage Association.

 

Talonvest Handles New York Refi

 

Talonvest led the refinance of a four-property New York portfolio owned by Clutter, Inc. The deal was valued at $118 million.
