True Storage Opens in Massachusetts


True Storage opened a storage development in Wilbraham, Massachusetts.







Baranoff Finishes South Carolina Development


Baranoff Holdings completed a new facility in Charleston, South Carolina. Public Storage will manage the property.


Developer Converting Bank Branch


Williams Development Group is redeveloping a former bank branch into a storage facility in Clemmons, North Carolina. The property will be branded Sunbird Storage.


Spartan Adds 3 in Northwest


Spartan Investment Group acquired a trio of storage facilities, two in Portland, Oregon and one in Vancouver, Washington. Extra Space Storage will manage the properties.


Marcus & Millichap Completes Deals


Marcus & Millichap brokered the following sales:

•    Windmill Mini Storage in Taylor, Texas. The buyer was an LLC.
•    StoreEase in Middleburg, Florida. The seller was Inkana Development, and the buyer was U-Haul.
•    CubeSmart (managed) in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The seller was Macritchie Group, and the buyer was Inland Real Estate Acquisitions.
•    A storage certificate of occupancy property in Richmond, Texas, called Fulshear CofO.


Moove In Buys in New Jersey


Moove In Self Storage acquired a facility in Hardyston, New Jersey.


L’Hoste to Lead Atlantic Sales at Elevate


Elevate Structures has named Cydney L’Hoste regional director of business development for the Atlantic sales territory. She was previously pre-construction director.


IREGC Promotes Burlage


Kyle Burlage has been named senior investment analyst at The Investment Real Estate Group of Companies in York, Pennsylvania.    


Etude Makes Offer for Global


Etude Storage Partners has offered to purchase Global Self Storage Inc, a REIT. Etude is a stockholder of Global, and it offers $6.15 per share in an all-cash proposal. This is Etude’s third attempt to acquire Global.


Storable Releases Survey Results


Storable released the results of a survey of over 1,000 storage tenants examining demand, technology and expectations. A notable 42% of respondents viewed self storage as an essential expenditure. A quarter are willing to pay more for 24/7 access, 24% for enhanced security, and 19% for climate control. Theft prevention is the most significant concern.


Devon Adds Management Contracts


Devon Self Storage will manage six properties in Indiana, Colorado, Michigan, Nevada and Louisiana. Devon manages 119 properties for 12 owners across the nation. Devon is part of The Inland Real Estate Group of Companies.
