Gantry Locks Down Midgard Loan

 

Gantry secured an $86 million loan to refinance a nine-property portfolio for Midgard Self Storage. The assets are in Georgia, Florida and North Carolina. 

 

 

Lighthouse to Manage Haviland Stores Upon Retirement

 

Lighthouse Storage Solutions will assume management of facilities managed by Haviland Storage Services (HSS) when HSS founder Sue Haviland retires at the end of 2026. Haviland founded HSS in 2009. She previously held senior leadership roles with Price Self Storage and Extra Space Storage. 

 

Amy’s Attic Building in Texas

 

Amy’s Attic Self Storage will develop a new facility in Jarrell, Texas. The facility is scheduled to open in late spring 2027. 

 

Public Storage Expands Solar Portfolio

 

Public Storage, in partnership with ComEd and Solar Landscape, will develop 60 rooftop community solar projects across northern Illinois in the next two years. The projects will deliver 44 MW of solar energy, boosting grid capacity and creating opportunities for customers to lower their energy costs.

Marcus & Millichap Handles Texas Sale

 

Marcus & Millichap brokered the sale of a five-property storage portfolio in Texas. The facilities are in Pattison, Brookshire, Hockley and Waller, Texas. 

 

StorageVault Canada Buys Three Properties

 

StorageVault Canada will acquire three storage properties in the greater Toronto area and one in Southwestern Ontario for $81.5 million, according to The Globe and Mail.

 

South Carolina Brewery Becoming Storage

 

A property in Charleston, South Carolina, that previously housed a brewery will become self storage. 4 Rivers Property Group paid $4 million for the site, according to the Post and Courier. 

 

Peak Condo Storage Opens in Idaho 

 

Peak Condo Storage opened its newest complex in Eagle, Idaho. The facility was built by Forge Building Company. 

 

SecureSpace Buys Facility in Miami

 

InSite Property Group, which does business as SecureSpace Storage, acquired a facility in Miami, Florida’s Allapattah neighborhood for $32.72 million.
