Marcus & Millichap brokered the following sales:

• Interstate Mini Storage in White House, Tennessee. Anne Williams-Blackwell and Andy Beeckman marketed the property on behalf of the seller, a local owner.

• CubeSmart-managed self storage facility in Miami Beach, Florida. Meir Perlmuter, Nathan Coe, Gabriel Coe and Brett R. Hatcher had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller. Ryan Nee assisted in closing the transaction. The buyer was Baranof Holdings.

CubeSmart introduced SmartView by CubeSmart, a proprietary mobile app designed to connect users to key performance metrics. Utilizing SmartView, third-party management clients have access to their data wherever and whenever they want.

 

Clement Joins Storage Authority

 

Storage Authority has named Ed Clement franchise director and Storage Authority real estate guru. Clement has over 30 years of experience in real estate, investment banking and management consulting and is a registered real estate broker in Florida and Georgia.

 

EDC Building Two Storage Facilities

 

Richmond, Virginia-based commercial general contractor EDC has been selected to build two new self storage facilities in Philadelphia and in Charlottesville, Virginia. Both projects are scheduled to be completed by late 2022.

 

Lindsey Brokers Minnesota Deal

 

Lindsey Self Storage Group brokered the sale of a conversion project in Fairbault, Minnesota. Kirk Martin closed the deal, which sold the facility to a private buyer.

 

RV Storage Coming to New Mexico

 

Picacho Hills Development Company has gained approval to build a new recreational vehicle storage facility in Las Cruces, New Mexico, according to Las Cruces Sun News.

STORAGECafé has compiled a list of the five US cities where self storage is hardest to find. They are Miami, New York City, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. and San Francisco.

 

Arizona Mall Gets Life Storage

 

Denver-based Southwestern Property has converted a former JCPenney story at Phoenix’s Metrocenter Mall into self storage, according to KJZZ. Life Storage manages the facility. Metrocenter was Arizona’s first two-story mall.

 

U-Haul Plans Bradenton Project

 

U-Haul plans to build a new self storage property in Bradenton, Florida, after acquiring 10 acres there. U-Haul Moving & Storage of Lakewood Ranch is scheduled for completion by 2023.
