StorageMart Completes Largest Deal Since 2021

 

StorageMart acquired a portfolio of 15 storage properties across New York City, the second-largest self storage acquisition in New York City history and the largest storage trade since 2021. Locations are in Manhattan, Staten Island, Brooklyn and Queens. The portfolio totals 1.3 million net rentable square feet. The locations will operate as Manhattan Mini Storage. 

 

Public REITs to Release Results

 

The public storage REITs are set to release earnings on the following schedule:


Public Storage will release earnings February 12. 
Extra Space Storage will release earnings February 19. 
National Storage Affiliates will release earnings February 25.
CubeSmart will release earnings February 26.
SmartStop has not yet announced its earnings call.

 

Cubby Raises Growth Capital

 

Self storage software company Cubby raised a $63 million Series A, led by Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, according to Fortune. 

 

Haviland, Lighthouse Announce Partnership

 

Haviland Storage Services announced a partnership with Lighthouse Storage Solutions with Melissa Huff of Lighthouse joining the Haviland team in a senior consulting role focused on self storage operations.  

 

Marcus & Millichap Sells Foreclosed Texas RV Asset 

 

Marcus & Millichap brokered the sale of a recently constructed facility called A-Affordable Boat & RV Storage in Valley View, Texas. The seller was Ciera Bank, which had foreclosed on the property from the original developer in early 2025. 

 

Storage Group Releases Content Calendar

 

The Storage Group digital marketing firm released a content calendar for 2026 with a lineup of newsletters, webinars, product demos and white papers to equip storage operators with insights to enable smarter marketing decisions. 

 

Talonvest Secures Financing for Andover

 

Talonvest Capital arranged a $35 million, five-property financing on behalf of Andover Properties and its JV partner, TPG Angelo Gordon. 

 

Lindsey Sells North Carolina Property

 

Lindsey Self Storage Group brokered the sale of Kernersville Self Storage in Kernersville, North Carolina, to a private buyer.

 

SkyView Sells Oregon Storage

 

SkyView Advisors brokered the sale of Berry’s Oak Grove Mini-Storage in Medford, Oregon. 

 

CrownPoint Starts New Jersey Development

 

CrownPoint Group Inc. broke ground on a three-story storage facility in South River, New Jersey.
