Baranof Buys in Texas

Versal brokered the sale of Lucas Storage in Lucas, Texas. Dahlia ARR LLC was the Texas-based seller, and Baranof Holdings was the buyer.

StorageMart Adds to Manhattan Management

StorageMart and Manhattan Mini Storage Third Party Management will manage a facility on East 21st Street in Manhattan. The property is owned by Mequity Companies.

Inland Closes Fund

Inland Private Capital Corporation closed the private investment offering of IPC Self-Storage Redevelopment Fund, which consists of five projects across Texas, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania that will operate under the Devon Self Storage brand.

Marcus & Millichap Brokers Sales

Marcus & Millichap brokered the following sales:

•    1314 Mini Storage in Porter, Texas.
•    Extra Space Storage (managed) facility in Allen, Texas.
•    Sentry Storage in Athens, Texas.

California Storage in Lease-Up

ARCO/Murray and Clear Sky Capital completed a storage facility in Vista, California. The property is managed by StorQuest.

Boardwalk Plans South Carolina Facility

Boardwalk Development Group will develop a new storage facility in Summerville, South Carolina, which will open in December 2025.

Tri Star Opens Georgia Location

Tri Star Storage will open a new location in Albany, Georgia.

Pogoda Inducted to Michigan HOF

Maurice Pogoda, president and founder of Pogoda Companies, will be inducted into the Michigan Self Storage Association’s Hall of Fame. Pogoda Companies is Michigan’s largest owner and third-party manager of self storage.

Illinois Town Weights Storage Tax

Lake in the Hills, Illinois, is considering a user tax on self storage facilities. The village staff is proposing an additional 5% sales tax for self storage facilities and outdoor vehicle storage facilities.

JV Gets 43-Property Loan

A joint venture between TPG Angelo Gordon and Andover Properties obtained a $315 million loan to refinance a 43-property self storage portfolio. Newmark secured the refinancing.

Meridian Sells Georgia Location

Meridian Storage Group brokered the sale of Space Station Storage in Clarkesville, Georgia
