Go Store It Self Storage and Snapbox Self Storage have merged to form one of the largest private operators in the US. Operating as Go Store It Self Storage, the entity will have 145 locations in 23 states. Ryan Hanks and Jake Ramage will serve as co-CEOs.

 

Kreft, Cullins Named to Roles at Elevate

Marcus & Millichap Brokers Deals

 

Marcus & Millichap brokered the following sales:

•    Vault Storage in Odgen, Utah. The seller was the original developer, and the buyer was Mountain West Self-Storage.
•    Sentry Self-Service Storage in Tallahassee, Florida. The buyer was Vault Ventures.
•    A self storage development site in Boynton Beach, Florida, for $6 million. They buyer was Shadowbrook Development, LLC.

SSM Launches New Web Platform

 

Self Storage Manager launched the SSM Web Platform, an integrated website solution for SSM Cloud users. The platform gives users the ability to update their websites instantly and directly from SSM Cloud.

Store Space Self Storage opened a new location in Fort Myers, Florida, its 12th in the state.

Texas Self Storage Association elected its 2024-25 executive committee. President is Ross Pfeifer of Hixon Properties in San Antonio. New board members are Vianney Jasik of Trust Self Storage Professionals, Edwin Roark of Roark Properties, and Michael Johnson of Versal Partners.

Southern Start Self Storage opened in Addison, Texas.

 

Storage Units Plans Florida Building Spree

 

Storage Units Capital secured a $75 million construction loan through Beal Bank and Crow Holdings. The company plans to build 4,000 units at five properties in Fort Myers, Fort Pierce, Vero Beach, Sebring and Cocoa.

Andover Properties opened a new Storage King USA facility in Palm Coast, Florida.

 

SecureSpace Bets on Hawaii

 

SecureSpace Self Storage opened a new facility in Kapolei on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.

 

Extra Space a Public Company 20 Years

 

Extra Space Storage celebrated its 20th anniversary as a publicly traded company on August 20. In 2004, Extra Space held its initial public offering. At the time, the company operated 160 properties, compared to 3,812 properties today.

 

Lindsey Brokers Southeastern Deals

 

Lindsey Self Storage Group brokered the following sales:

•    Mullet Creek Storage in Niceville, Florida, to a private buyer.
•    Safe Haven Self Storage in Lavonia, Georgia, to a private buyer.

 

Right Move Employs StorageDefender

 

Right Move Storage implemented StorageDefender’s Smart Units in 2019. Since rollout, Right Move Storage achieved 12% increase in revenue per smart unit, 96% tenant opt-in rate and a 41% reduction in tenant insurance claims.

 

Go Store It Releases StoreEase Results

 

Go Store It Self Storage announced that for the 37 locations using StoreEase virtual management, the operator saw a 9% increase in revenue and 11.5% gain in net income compared to the second quarter of 2023.
