Blue Ocean acquired Geneva Secure Storage in Geneva, Ohio. Life Storage will manage the asset. Blue Ocean is headquartered in Owings Mills, Maryland.

West Coast Develops Near Olympia

West Coast Self-Storage has opened West Coast Self-Storage Lacey in Lacey, Washington. The property was built by Parkway Construction. NWB Lacey, LLC is the owner. West Coast developed the facility and will manage its operations.

SkyView Launches Offer Technology

SkyView Advisors has introduced a new “Make an Offer” tool on its website. Investors can submit details needed to acquire their next investment property. The tool is available on SkyView’s active listings during the 7-day call for offer window.

KKR Adds to Portfolio

Global investment firm KKR has invested $70 million to buy three self storage properties in Atlanta, Georgia, St. Petersburg, Florida, and Alexandria, Virginia, according to IPE Real Assets. KKR acquired the assets on behalf of KKR Real Estate Partners Americas III.

Yonkers Approves New CubeSmart

Developer KCT Inc. has received approval to build a $15.4 million CubeSmart-branded self storage facility in Yonkers, New York, according to the Westchester and Fairfield County Business Journals. The Yonkers Industrial Development Agency gave final approval.

Extra Space Buys 9 Properties

Atlanta-based Space Shop Self Storage has sold two self storage portfolios for $137 million to Extra Space Storage. The nine properties are across Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina, according to RE Business Online.

Marcus & Millichap Brokers Texas Stores

The LeClaire-Schlosser Group of Marcus & Millichap brokered the sale of two self storage facilities in Houston and Galveston, Texas, to Extra Space Storage. Both assets, formerly managed by CubeSmart, are adaptive reuse facilities completed in 2018 and 2019.

Self Storage Plus to Manage Maryland Store

Self Storage Plus will manage a new location in Hyattsville, Maryland. The property is owned by Tybec Limited Partnership. It is the 53^rd location for Self Storage Plus.

InSite Buys Atlantic Beach Storage

InSite Property Group has acquired American Storage in Atlantic Beach, Florida. The facility will be operated by InSite's wholly owned management firm and rebranded as SecureSpace Atlantic Beach.
