Safeguard Self Storage opened a new facility in Spring Hill, Florida, near Tampa. This is Safeguard’s seventh property in the market.

 

 

 

 

Developer Plans Florida Build

 

SmarterSpace Storage will build a facility in Ocala, Florida. Scherer Construction will build the asset with completion expected by July 2024.

 

StorageMart Increases Toronto Presence

 

StorageMart is expanding in Toronto. It will be the company’s 70th facility in Canada.

 

Public Storage Expands Solar Partnership

 

Public Storage and Solar Landscape have begun construction in the first of 133 rooftop community solar projects in Maryland, New Jersey and Illinois. The project will power over 10,000 homes with renewable energy.

 

Marcus & Millichap Brokers Deals

 

Marcus & Millichap brokered the following sales:

•    StorageMart in Salina, Kansas. Gabriel Coe, Brett Hatcher and Nathan Coe marketed the property on behalf of the seller, an LLC.
•    Churchill Bridge Storage in Brazoria, Texas. Dave Knobler represented the seller and found the buyer.
•    Texas Boat and Self Storage in La Marque, Texas. Knobler and Charles LeClaire marketed the site and found the buyer.
•    Gadsden Mini Storage in Quincy, Florida. Hunter Robey and Chris Travis listed the property.
•    Affordable Self Storage in Denton, Texas. Danny Cunningham and Brandon Karr represented the Dallas-based private investor who owned the facility for three decades, and found the Chicago-based buyer.
•    TEPCO Storage in New Braunfels, Texas. Jon Danklefs marketed the property on behalf of an LLC. The buyer, another LLC, was represented by Sean Delaney.

 

Janus Promotes Sales Team

 

Janus International Group made the following promotions: Dianne Hammond to vice president of inside sales, Roc Hughes to vice president of self storage sales, and Dennis Owens to vice president of commercial sales. Janus provides roll-up doors and swing doors, hallway systems and other products to the self storage industry.

 

Badger Joins Store Space

 

Store Space Self Storage has named Ryan Badger vice president of construction.

 

Safeway Sells in Tennessee

 

Lindsey Self Storage brokered the sale of Safeway Storage in Memphis, Tennessee. John Lindsey and Kirk Martin managed the sale to a private buyer.
