Sauls Brokers Florida Sale

 

Sauls Storage Group brokered the sale of Stor-All Self Storage in Alachua, Florida.

Marcus & Millichap Handles Texas Sales

 

Marcus & Millichap brokered the following sales:

• Freedom Mini Storage in San Angelo, Texas. Arol Horkavy and Jon Danklefs marketed the property on behalf of the seller, a limited liability company. 

• Cavitt Street Storage in Bryan, Texas. Horkavy and Danklefs had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, a limited liability company. The team also procured the buyer, a limited liability company.

 

Storage Post Grows in NYC

 

Storage Post Self Storage has acquired five properties in New York City. The acquisition of a four-property portfolio included three Long Island facilities and a fourth location in Westchester County, all of which Storage Post has managed since 2016. Steve Mellon and Brian Somoza with JLL Capital Markets brokered the transaction. Storage Post also acquired a new facility in the Morrisania neighborhood of the Bronx borough near Yankee Stadium.

 

SkyView Active on Sales

 

SkyView Advisors brokered the following sales:

• Public Storage (managed) in the Bronx, New York. Aaron Sanchez and Scott Schoettlin managed the transaction.

• Extra Space Storage (managed) in Fairfield, Alabama. Richard Riddle and Zachary Urow completed the transaction.

• Louisville-Jefferson County, KY-IN Self Storage in Louisville, Kentucky. Michael Brandon and Schoettlin represented the seller.

 

MakoRabco Names Executives

 

MakoRabco has named John Cross as its new chief executive officer. Cross has served as chief operating officer for the past two years. In 2021, Mako Steel acquired Rabco Enterprises. Caesar Wright, who has served as the company’s chief executive officer since 1997, has been named as its new executive chairman.

 

Andover Buys in Texas, Georgia

 

Andover Properties has acquired the following new facilities:

• AA Stor All and B’s Stor All, two storage facilities in San Antonio and New Braunfels, Texas. Jon Danklefs of Marcus & Millichap worked on behalf of the seller, a limited liability company.

• The Storage Depot of Savannah in Savannah, Georgia.

The properties will operate under the Storage King USA brand.

 

1784 Secures Loan With Talonvest

 

Talonvest Capital, Inc. and 1784 Capital Holdings have structured a $41.35 million construction loan for the development of a self storage property in San Gabriel, California. Jim Davies, Tom Sherlock, Erich Pryor, David DiRienzo, and Thalia Tovar of Talonvest worked on the assignment.

 

Compass Adds Two Properties

 

Compass Self Storage acquired two new properties in Smithfield, Rhode Island and Wildwood, Florida. Compass Self Storage is a member of the Amsdell family of companies.

 

Brookfield Bets on Brooklyn

 

Brookfield Property Group bought two properties in Brooklyn, one in Clinton Hill for $32 million and a second in Bushwick for $26.6 million. The sellers were Maddd Equities, Joy Construction and Cayre Equities. Brookfield Asset Management, bought a facility in East New York, Brooklyn, for $31.4 million. An affiliate of Heitman Capital Management sold the property.

 

True Storage Opens Rhode Island Store

 

New Hampshire-based self storage developer True Storage has completed a facility in Warwick, Rhode Island. CubeSmart will manage the property, which formerly served as a manufacturing facility. True Storage purchased the property in September 2021.

 

10 Federal Sells Portfolio

 

10 Federal Self Storage Acquisition Company 1, LLC, has sold the remaining eight self storage properties in its portfolio to Frigatebird Investments, representing a total liquidation. In addition, 10 Federal Self Storage Acquisition Company 2, LLC, has sold four Georgia locations to Frigatebird. The 10 Federal Self Storage Acquisition Company 3, LLC, has sold one South Carolina property.

 

SkyView Promotes Leaders

 

SkyView Advisors have promoted seven to new leadership roles. They are:

Zachary Urow to executive vice president; Scott Schoettlin to managing director; Richard Riddle to executive vice president. Four team members have been named senior vice president. They are Hunter Sells, Aaron Sanchez, Michael Brandon and David Zehendner.

StoragePRO Management Inc. opened StoragePRO of Fairfield, California. GC Construction & Development Inc. was the general contractor. StoragePRO owns 15 facilities across California and manages another 85 storage properties across Western states.

 

IRE Brokers Pennsylvania Sale

 

Investment Real Estate, LLC brokered the sale of S & K Self Storage in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, to a private buyer. Matt Rosendale represented the seller.

 

Berkshire Hathaway Sells CubeSmart

 

Berkshire Hathaway managed the sale of CubeSmart Self Storage in Piedmont, South Carolina. Cameron Vale and Parker Sweet represented the seller and secured the buyer, a national private equity firm.
