Merit Hill Snags Colorado Storage

 

CBRE brokered the sale of a self storage facility in Longmont, Colorado. Nick Walker and Walter Brauer represented the seller, a private investor. The buyer was New York-based Merit Hill Capital.

 

PSA to Acquire ezStorage for $1.8B

 

Public Storage will acquire ezStorage for $1.8 billion. The ezStorage portfolio is comprised of 48 properties across Washington, DC, Virginia and Maryland. PSA’s development team will assume responsibility for one property under construction and expand eight additional properties. PSA will fund the acquisition with unsecured debt. The deal is expected to close in May.

 

Stadium Storage Sells near Dallas

 

Bellomy & Co. brokered the sale of Stadium Self Storage in Mansfield, Texas, southwest of Dallas. Bill Bellomy and Michael Johnson of Bellomy & Co. represented the seller, Stadium Self Storage Inc. The team also procured the Austin based buyer, Bassdale Investments, LLC.

 

Texas’ Golder Storage Sells

 

Marcus & Millichap brokered the following sales:

Golder Storage in Odessa, Texas. Arol Horkavy and Jon Danklefs, investment specialists in the Austin and San Antonio offices, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, a limited liability company.

A3 Storage Centers in San Antonio. The buyer was a joint venture between Montfort Capital Partners LLC & Blue Vista Capital Management. Danklefs secured the buyers.

 

PSA to Announce Q1 Results

 

Public Storage will release its first quarter 2021 earnings results on Wednesday, April 28. A conference call is scheduled for Thursday, April 29, at 9:00 a.m. (PDT) to discuss these results.

 

Holiday Island Enters Storage Market

 

Holiday Island Holdings, Inc. of Arkansas intends to acquire an 80% ownership in a locally branded self storage property in north Houston and the brand itself, which has been formulated but not widely marketed by the owner/developer, according to Yahoo Finance.

 

Urban Implements SSM Software

 

Seattle-based Urban Self Storage, has launched Self Storage Manager (SSM) enterprise software across 70 locations in multiple states. Urban Self Storage also launched contactless rentals by integrating the SSM Online Rental module into its website.

 

Brookwood Delivers Austin Store

 

Brookwood Properties of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has opened a new self storage facility in Austin, Texas. The facility is managed by Life Storage. It is Brookwood's 11th facility in Texas. Rosehill Construction served as the general contractor and Kaufman Design was the architect.

Great Value Files Chapter 11

 

Great Value Storage has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in Delaware, according to the Austin Business Journal. The storage chain has 64 locations in 10 states. The business belongs to Nate Paul and his Austin-based real estate investment firm World Class Capital Group. World Class has faced scrutiny since its headquarters was raided by federal authorities in August 2019.

 

Go Store It Adds Florida Location

 

Go Store It has acquired its fifth Florida location with a self storage facility in Clermont. Go Store It is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
