Versal brokered the sale of Storage King USA in Corpus Christi, Texas. The seller was Andover Properties and the buyer was a public REIT.


 
Asking Rents Continue to Drop


 
Average annualized same store asking rent was $16.44 nationally in May, a 4.5% decrease year over year, according to Yardi Matrix. All top metros saw negative street rate movement in May.  


 
Bluebird Buys Two in Canada


 
The ICM Bluebird Canadian Self Storage Fund purchased two storage facilities in Whitby, Ontario, and Calgary, Alberta, according to Real Estate News Exchange.

Metro, Fremont Refinance with Värde


 
Metro Self Storage and Fremont Realty Capital have secured a $185 million loan from Värde Partners to refinance a 20-property self storage portfolio, according to Commercial Observer.  


 
Robots Patrol Two California Sites


 
Knightscope Inc. has deployed two new K5 Autonomous Security Robots for public safety at two California self storage locations. The robots mitigate risk and elevate protection offer to tenants and their belongings.


 
Developer Gets Approval in Savannah
