Versal brokered the sale of Stash N Go in Austin, Texas. Bill Bellomy, Michael Johnson, Logan Foster and Hugh Horne represented the seller, Libertas Obsido, LLC, and secured the Miami, Florida buyer.

 

 

Life Storage CFO Passes

 

Life Storage CFO Alexander Gress, 50, passed away suddenly on July 9. Gress joined Life Storage in 2021. David Dodman, COO, was appointed CFO.

 

10 Federal Raises Capital

 

10 Federal announced a capital raise of over $27 million during the second quarter of the year for its 4th self storage offering. Total capital raised by 10 Federal for the year is $60 million. 10 Federal will acquire storage assets with the money.

 

Wentworth Bets on Mesa

 

Wentworth Property Company’s self storage division acquired Power Ranch RV and Self-Storage in Mesa, Arizona. It’s Wentworth’s 10th deal in 10 months.

 

South Carolina Facility Sells

 

Meridian Storage Group brokered the sale of Pearman Dairy Self Storage in Anderson, South Carolina. Brady Mast managed the transaction.  

 

Safeguard Adds in Yonkers

 

Safeguard Self Storage acquired a facility in Yonkers, New York. Safeguard has over 80 locations in six states.

 

Public Storage Buys in Northeast

 

Public Storage acquired Andover Street Self Storage in Peabody, Massachusetts. LCI Management sold the asset for $19 million.

 

CallPotential Adds Citizen Storage

 

Citizen Storage Management launched an internal call center using CallPotential. Citizen Storage is based in Royal Oak, Michigan and manages 10 facilities in three states.

 

FreeUp Expands in Georgia

 

Spartan Investment Group acquired Max Storage in Macon, Georgia. The property will be rebranded FreeUp Storage Macon Dove Street.

 

Fradin Named Vice Chair of Janus Board

 

Janus International Group appointed Roger Fradin as vice chairman of the board of directors. Fradin was previously CEO and president of Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions.

All In Storage in Greensboro, North Carolina. John Lindsey and Matt Rosendale managed the transaction.  
CubeSmart (managed) in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Lindsey and Kirk Martin managed the transaction.

 

Marcus & Millichap Sells Florida Portfolio

 

Marcus & Millichap brokered the sale of a three-property CubeSmart portfolio in Jacksonville, Tallahassee and Middleburg, Florida. Nathan Coe, Gabriel Coe and Brett Hatcher represented the seller and secured the buyer.

 

StorSafe Makes Florida Deal

 

StorSafe acquired Coleman Storage in Wildwood, Florida, for $8.8 million. The seller was Coleman Commercial LLC. StorSafe now has 23 facilities in five states.

 

Bluebird Increases Canadian Presence

 

Bluebird Self Storage acquired a facility now branded Bluebird Matheson in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. It’s Bluebird’s 8th acquisition since its launch in late 2022.

 

MV Sells North Carolina New Build

 

MV Investments sold a storage facility in Fayetteville, North Carolina to an undisclosed buyer. The facility opened in March.

 

MakoRabco Creates New Division

 

MakoRabco announced a new doors and hallways division. With its long-standing relationship with Janus International, MakoRabco can bring Janus doors straight from the factory to storage projects. Hans Matthew will lead the new division.
