Minnesota Storage Sold

 

Marcus & Millichap brokered the following sales:

Minikahda Storage and Excelsior Tech Center in Hopkins, Minnesota. Charles “Chico” LeClaire, Adam Schlosser and Chris Kampmeyer had the exclusive listing.

The former Quail Creek Self Storage in Laredo, Texas. Jon Danklefs, an investment specialist in the San Antonio office, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller. Storage Star completed the purchase and will rebrand the facility as Storage Star – Laredo.

 

StorageMart Scores NFL Sponsorship Deal

 

StorageMart has entered a new partnership with the NFL Kansas City Chiefs. The five-year partnership between StorageMart and the Chiefs’ championship team increases brand visibility while supporting each party’s ongoing charitable giving initiatives. Central to the arrangement is the StorageMart Tackle Tracker webpage, which will begin counting the Chiefs’ tackles at the start of the season. For every successful tackle, StorageMart has pledged to make a monetary donation in support of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America for a projected total of $50,000 for the 2021 season.

 

Meridian Closes Two Deals

 

Meridian Storage Group brokered the following sales: 

53rd Street Secure Storage in Anderson, Indiana. Patrick Kidder and Ken DeVaul represented the private owner seller and secure the buyer, a national operator.

Skyline Self Storage in Cape Coral, Florida. Kidder represented the private developer in the sale and the buyer, a large private operator. 

 

Storage King Takes on Santa Clarita

 

Angelo Gordon has acquired Santa Clarita Storage in Santa Clarita, California. World Class Property Company (WCP) sold the property to Gordon and a joint venture partner, Andover Properties, for $28 million. The property will be rebranded as Storage King USA. Greg Wells, Mike Mele and Luke Elliott of Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller. WCP developed the property in 2019.

 

SkyView Brokers Mt. Tabor

 

SkyView Advisors brokered the sale of Mt. Tabor Storage in New Albany, Indiana. SkyView's Hunter Sells and Ryan Clark represented the seller.

 

Storage Star Opens in Napa

 

Storage Star has opened a new facility in Napa California. Storage Star has also completed the purchase of Storage Star- Laredo in Laredo, Texas. Storage Star is a subsidiary of FollettUSA, a California-based boutique real estate firm.

 

Life Storage Plans Hometown Re-do

 

Life Storage Inc. was the top bidder for the former Greif Inc. plant in the Town of Tonawanda, New York, where it plans to renovate the building and convert it to self storage.

 

Partnership Begins Georgia Project

 

Lumpkin Development, MacArthur Holdings, and Live Oak Capital Partners will begin construction on a new self storage facility in Canton, Georgia. The property will be open to the public in the spring of 2022.
 

Empty Bon-Ton to Become Life Storage

 

WMG Partners, a subsidiary of Miami-based MCSS Self-Storage Development & Investment, will redevelop the former Bon-Ton department store in Springettsbury Township, Pennsylvania, into self storage, according to PennLive. The facility will be managed by Life Storage.

 

21^st Century Bets on Long Island

 

21st Century Storage will renovate a warehouse in Long Island City, New York, and convert it to self storage. This is the 12th acquisition for Gentry and 21st Century Storage. 21st Century Storage is an Aspen, Colorado-based real estate investment, management, and development company.

 

New Moove In For Pennsylvania

 

Storage Construction has been awarded a contract by Moove In Self Storage to begin work on a new self storage facility in Spring Garden Township, York, Pennsylvania. The project will consist of the design, conversion, and expansion of an existing factory building.
