Marcus & Millichap Active in Midwest

Marcus & Millichap brokered the following sales:

•    Alpha Storage in Hammond, Indiana. Herrmann and Delaney marketed the property on behalf of a local limited liability company and secured a Chicago-based limited liability company as the buyer.
•    Champion Storage portfolio, a five-property storage sale across Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Sean Delaney and Jeffrey Herrmann marketed the property on behalf of JGSS, LLC, and procured the buyer, Rogers Equity Group IV, LLC.
•    Northwest Indiana U-Stor-It portfolio in Crown Point and Merrillville, Indiana. Herrmann and Delaney marketed the property on behalf of a local limited liability company and represented the buyer, a Chicagoland limited liability company.

 

Arcland Buys 3, Adds 9 to Management

 

Arcland Property Company made the following acquisitions:

 

• A previously REIT-managed storage facility in Stafford, Virginia.

• A facility in Alexandria, Virginia.

• A facility in Kensington, Maryland, that’s one of the largest in the D.C. area.

The properties will be branded and managed by Self Storage Plus.

• At the same time, Self Storage Plus has secured its largest management assignment to date with nine U-Store Self-Storage facilities throughout Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and Florida.

 

Devon Bets on Wisconsin

 

Devon Self Storage is converting a former Kmart building in Kenosha, Wisconsin, to storage. The project could be completed by early spring.

Devon Self Storage Holdings LLC, along with joint venture partner Inland Private Capital Corporation, have opened a storage property in Racine, Wisconsin. The opening marks the latest delivery on behalf of Self-Storage Qualified Opportunity Fund, L.L.C., an IPC-sponsored Qualified Opportunity Fund.

 

Moove In Buys in New York

 

Moove In Self Storage acquired Glenmont Self Storage and Selkirk Self Storage located just outside of Albany, New York. The asset is owned by National Storage Affiliates and will be managed by Investment Real Estate Management LLC under the Moove In Self Storage brand.

 

Blue Vista, H&M Partner in Florida

 

Blue Vista Capital Management and H&M Development acquired a recreation facility that will be redeveloped into a self storage facility in Hialeah Gardens, Florida. The property will be managed by Extra Space Storage.

 

Florida Property Trades

 

TPG Real Estate Partners and Value Store It purchased a storage facility in Weston, Florida, for $18.5 million. The seller was a joint venture between Harrison Street Real Estate Capital and The Lock Up.

 

Meridian Brokers Mississippi Deal

 

Meridian Storage Group brokered the sale of Flora Mini Storage in Flora, Mississippi.

 

Safeguard Opens in Florida

 

Safeguard Self Storage opened its newest facility in Seminole Heights, Florida. It’s the fifth facility Safeguard has opened in the Tampa MSA in the last 18 months.

 

Extra Space, Solar Landscape Recognized

 

Asbury Park, New Jersey-based Solar Landscape was awarded Solar Builder’s 2022 Community Solar Project of the Year for a project with Extra Space Storage. The project was approved by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities in Year 2 of the state’s Community Solar Energy Pilot Program. More than half of the power it generates will power low-to moderate-income households near the self storage sites throughout the state.
