Marcus & Millichap Brokers Deals

 

Marcus & Millichap brokered the following transactions:

  • A three-property Store Space-managed portfolio in Atlanta, Cincinnati and Orlando. Nathan Coe, Gabriel Coe and Brett Hatcher represented the seller, Home Star Storage, and secured the buyer.

  • The Storage Spot in Fremont, California for $20 million. Adam Levin represented the sellers and secured the buyers.

 

REITS to Release Results

 

Self storage’s public REITs are set to issue financial results for the second quarter of 2022. Here is the schedule:

  • Extra Space Storage will host a conference call on Wednesday, Aug. 3 at 1 pm EST.

  • Life Storage will host a conference call Thursday, Aug. 4 at 9 am EST.

  • National Storage Affiliates will host a call Thursday, Aug. 4 at 1 pm EST.

  • CubeSmart will host a call Friday, Aug. 5 at 11 am EST.

  • Public Storage will host a call Friday, Aug. 5, at 9 a.m. PDT.

 

Life Storage Picks OpenTech Alliance

 

OpenTech Alliance announced that Life Storage selected OpenTech as a solutions provider to upgrade access control technology at 150 locations across the USA. OpenTech was awarded the contract to install INSOMNIAC CIA following a competitive proposal process.

 

Spartan Buys in North Carolina

 

Spartan Investment Group acquired FreeUp Storage Havelock in Havelock, North Carolina. This is the first acquisition under Spartan’s new Spartan Storage Fund 1. FreeUp Storage is Spartan’s brand.

 

Affordable Plans Milwaukee Store

 

An affiliate of Affordable Family Storage purchased a former Walmart in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The building was sold by Mid Milwaukee Improvements, LLC of Elmsford, New York, to AFS Milwaukee, LLC of Council Bluffs, Iowa.

 

Harrison Buys Two from Columbia

 

Harrison Street Capital acquired two CubeSmart storage assets for a combined $69.9 million. In both transactions, Seattle-based Columbia Pacific Advisors was the seller. 

 

Pogoda Adds to Michigan Portfolio

 

Pogoda Companies will open National Storage Centers Charlevoix, Michigan, in a former Kmart store. Pogoda Companies purchased the property earlier this year.

 

Sands Sells North Carolina Facility

 

Sands Investment Group brokered the sale of Gray's Creek Self Storage in Hope Mills, North Carolina. David Perlleshi managed the transaction.

 

TVG Betting on Connecticut


TVG Partners intends to develop a storage project in Shelton, Connecticut. TVG is a New York-based real estate development firm.

 

OpenTech Partners with Engrain

 

OpenTech Alliance will use SightMap, an interactive feature developed by Engrain, a property technology specializing in mapping and data visualizations. OpenTech’s INSOMNIAC StoreCore will integrate Engrain’s technology into its facility maps to provide virtual tours of its storage units to customers, tenants and its staff before site visits.

 

Aztec Refis Virginia Asset

 

Aztec Group secured $8 million in debt for the refinancing of Extra Space Chantilly in Chantilly, Virginia. Goldman Sachs providing the financing with Charles Penan, Howard Taft, Jeff Levin, and Joel Zusman representing Aztec.
