Midcoast Properties, Inc. brokered the sale of Bluewater Self Storage in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. Michael Morrison represented the seller, Life Storage. The facility was sold to a regional buyer.

 

 

SROA Names Accounting Director

 

SROA Capital, LLC, owner and operator of Storage Rentals of America, has appointed Lauren Weiss as director of accounting. Weiss comes to SROA from The Related Companies, where she was vice president of accounting. She holds degrees from American University and NYU.

 

Investor Buys Long Island Facility

 

The Carlyle Group has purchased a self storage facility in Long Island City, New York, from Criterion Group for $80 million, according to The Real Deal. Public Storage manages and operates the facility.

 

Invesco Buys in Oregon, Tennessee

 

Invesco Real Estate Income Trust Inc. has acquired two self storage portfolios in Bend, Oregon, and Clarksville, Tennessee, for $42 million. U.S. Storage Centers, a division of Westport Properties, is managing the assets.

 

U-Haul Developing in Montana

 

U-Haul will open a U-Haul Moving & Storage at Jackrabbit Silos in Bozeman, Montana. The project is scheduled for completion in 2024. 

 

SkyView Brokers Atlanta Property

 

SkyView Advisors brokered the sale of Fort Knox Self-Storage portfolio in the Atlanta, Georgia, metro area. Scott Schoettlin and Zach Urow managed the transaction.

 

Talonvest Arranges Store Space Loan

 

Talonvest Capital negotiated a $300 million debt facility for Store Space Self Storage, which has a joint venture with a Canadian real estate investment firm.

 

Hines Invests in Tennessee Portfolio

 

Hines acquired a storage portfolio consisting of five properties in greater Nashville, Tennessee, for $102 million. The locations are in Nashville, Franklin, Hendersonville and Murfreesboro.

 

SecureSpace Adds Philly Location

 

SecureSpace Self Storage acquired Vault Storage in North Wales, Pennsylvania. SecureSpace is based in Redondo Beach, California.

 

SmartStop Adds Florida Location

 

Strategic Storage Trust VI, Inc., an affiliate of SmartStop Self Storage REIT, acquired a storage facility in St. Johns, Florida.

 

Jumbo Asset Sells in San Antonio

 

Point Acquisitions acquired a large storage property on 65 acres in San Antonio, Texas.

The ability for 20 acres of expansion will one day make it the largest self storage site in the country.

 

Aztec Provides Refinancing

 

Miami, Florida-based Aztec Group secured $23 million in fixed-rate debt for the refinancing of a Public Storage-branded facility in Miami. The borrower was an affiliate of America’s Capital Partners. Jason Shapiro and Charles Penan managed the assignment. Aztec Group is a real estate investment and merchant banking firm.
