Life Buys Three Monsters

 

Adams Property Group sold three Monster Self Storage facilities to Life Storage for $48.5 million. The Monster Self Storage properties are Grand Oaks, South Carolina, Monster Self Storage Savannah, Georgia, and Monster Self Storage Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

 

SSTVI Adds in Washington

 

JLL Capital Markets facilitated the sale of Vancouver Self Storage in Vancouver, Washington. Brian Somoza, Steve Mellon, Christopher Ross and Ethan Goldberg represented the seller, an affiliate of Banner Real Estate Group. Strategic Storage Trust VI, Inc. acquired the asset. 

 

Forcier Joins Store Space

 

Frank Forcier has joined Store Space Self Storage as director of business development. Most recently, Forcier was responsible for awarding franchise agreements at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.

 

Marcus & Millichap Active Nationwide

 

Marcus & Millichap brokered the following deals:

  • A 39-property self storage portfolio located in Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Brett Hatcher, Gabriel Coe, Nathan Coe, Josh Wintermute, Daniel Burkons and Michael Barron represented the seller and procured the buyers. The portfolio includes 16 properties in Ohio, 13 properties in Michigan, five properties in Pennsylvania, three properties in New York and two properties in New Jersey.

  • Ballpark Self Storage in Adelanto, California. Keith Phillips and Adam Schlosser marketed the property on behalf of the seller, a California-based LLC. The buyer was Nova Storage.

 

Sands Assists North Carolina Sales

 

Sands Investment Group brokered the following sales:

  • Premier Storage in Salisbury, North Carolina, to Public Storage. The seller was a local owner and operator.

  • Asheville Mini Storage in Asheville, North Carolina. Dave Perlleshi and Frank DeSalvo managed the transaction.

 

Janus Celebrates 20th Anniversary

 

Janus International Group Inc. will celebrate 20 years in business with a yearlong celebration. Janus is a global manufacturer and supplier of self storage, commercial, and industrial building solutions, including roll-up and swing doors, hallway systems and re-locatable storage units. In 2018, Janus was acquired by Clearlake Capital Group, L.P., under whose ownership Janus became a public company in 2021.

 

Team Developing Platinum Storage

 

Roberts & Hatchett Investments in Kilgore, Texas, will develop a Platinum Self Storage in Longview. Texas, according to the Longview News-Journal.

 

Nunez Group Handles Arizona Trade

 

The Nunez Self-Storage Group brokered the sale of Vault Storage & RV in Tucson, Arizona. Denise Nunez and Victoria Filice represented the seller, Vault at Old Vail Road LLC. The buyer was Van West Acquisitions LLC.

 

Self Storage Plus Grows Management

 

Self Storage Plus will manage a self storage facility in Alexandria, Virginia, formerly managed by a national REIT. This is the 26th Self Storage Plus in the state.

 

Blackstone Buying PS Business Parks

 

Affiliates of Blackstone Real Estate plan to buy Glendale-based PS Business Parks Inc. in a cash deal totaling $7.6 billion. Blackstone will take ownership of about 27 million square feet of industrial and office properties, business parks and rental housing properties located in California, Miami, Texas and Northern Virginia. Public Storage owns about 26% of the shares of PS Business Parks and is its largest shareholder. PS Business Parks started as a spinoff of Public Storage.
