Storage Star Enters Idaho

 

Storage Star completed the purchase of Storage Star – Twin Falls in Twin Falls, Idaho. This is Storage Star’s 34th self storage facility and its first in the state of Idaho. Storage Star intends to expand the facility in 2022.

 

 

Public Storage Acquires All Storage

 

Public Storage has purchased the All Storage portfolio for $1.5 billion. The portfolio comprises 56 self storage properties mainly located in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, market. The acquisition gives Public Storage 172 locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. The additional properties are located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Killeen, Texas.

All Storage was said to be exploring a sale in September and solicited interest from potential buyers with assistance from CBRE. 

 

Marcus & Millichap Brokers 3 Deals

 

Marcus & Millichap brokered the following sales:

Goldkey Self Storage in Placerville, California. Christopher R. Secreto represented the buyer in this off-market transaction.

Alta Vista Storage in League City, Texas. Dave Knobler and Charles “Chico” LeClaire had the listing to market on behalf of the seller, a Galveston County partnership.

Cumberland Storage in Tyler, Texas. Knobler and LeClaire listed the property on behalf of a Tyler-based LLC who developed the property.

 

SpareBox Adds to Portfolio

 

SpareBox Storage acquired four stabilized properties from multiple sellers in Austin, Texas and Rogers, Arkansas.

 

Sunny’s in Texas Sells

 

Hetsun Properties has sold Sunny’s Self Storage in the Houston suburb of Katy, Texas. NAI Partners Associate Ryan DeGennaro arranged the transaction on behalf of the seller. The buyer, a Texas-based investor, tapped Life Storage to manage the property.

 

SecureSpace Leasing NYC Location

 

Parkland Group development company plans to demolish an Upper East Side, New York, parking garage and replace it with self storage, according to Patch.com. Parkland purchased the building for $19.8 million. SecureSpace has signed a lease for the space.

 

Rosewood Acquires in Pennsylvania

 

Dallas-based investment firm Rosewood Property Co. has acquired a self storage facility in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The property was converted from a warehouse in 2019.

 

U-Haul Converting Two Buildings

 

U-Haul plans the following projects:

U-Haul Moving & Storage of Cayce, South Carolina, will occupy a former Kmart building. U-Haul acquired the property in September.

U-Haul plans to convert a former medical office and fitness center in Modesto, California into self storage.

 

Madison Launches Boat, RV Storage Brand

 

Madison Capital Group LLC, which operates the Go Store It self storage brand, has launched BlueGate Boat and RV Storage. The affiliate venture will focus on acquiring and developing vehicle storage facilities in the Sunbelt, with plans to deploy more than $100 million of capital next year.

 

Lee Joins PSA as COO

 

David Lee has joined Public Storage as chief operating officer. Prior to joining Public Storage, Lee served as senior vice president of operations at The UPS Store, where he led operational and team engagement strategy across more than 5,200 retail locations in the U.S. and Canada.

 

Southside Completes Ohio Storage

 

Southside Storage has completed construction of a facility expansion in Maumee, Ohio. Absolute Storage Management will provide management.

 

Tennessee Storage Changes Hands

 

BC North Partners, Entity - Beechcroft Storage LLC has purchased Store It Spring Hill in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Absolute Storage Management will manage the property.

 

Xercor Adds Communications Director

 

Brynn Lee has joined Xercor Insurance Services as director of communications, where she will handle outbound communication, manage social media strategy, create and update marketing assets and plan events. Lee has served as a marketing consultant to Xercor since its inception and conceived Xercor’s trademarked slogan, “Be More than Sure.”

 

PSA Set on New Jersey Project

 

Glendale, California-based PS Atlantic Coast, LLC intends to tear down a former bowling alley in West Orange, New Jersey, and build a new Public Storage facility, according to JerseyDigs.com. The Essex County building is currently empty.

 

Dominus Brokers Texas Sales

 

Dominus Commercial brokered the following sales:

DLT Storage in Weatherford, Texas. Chad Snyder, Tyler Trahant and John Paul Di Lucca represented the buyer in the off-market acquisition.

Landmark Storage in Cleburne, Texas. Snyder, Trahant and Di Lucca represented the buyer. 

 

Life Storage Buys Miami Facilities

 

Life Storage bought two self storage facilities in Miami-Dade County, Florida, from Kirchhoff Companies. Life Storage paid $43.5 million for the two properties.

 

SkyView Handles Massachusetts Deal

 

SkyView Advisors brokered the sale of Springfield Self Storage and Riverdale Storage Center, both in the Springfield, Massachusetts metro. SkyView's Mike Brandon and Ryan Clark represented the sellers.
