Storage Star Adds 15 Properties

Storage Star acquired 15 new properties across the Western United States. The properties are in California, Texas, Wyoming, Idaho, Washington and Oregon, bringing Storage Star to 59 properties.

Marcus & Millichap Active Out West

Marcus & Millichap brokered the following sales:

• Extra Space Storage (managed) facility in Fremont, California. The seller was a private real estate investor.
• Saratoga Storage in Lehi, Utah. The seller was a joint venture between the Gardner Group and Management Elevated, and the buyer was an institutional investor.
• Extra Space Storage (managed) in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Stellar to Host Facility Tour, Demonstration

Stellar Storage Containers is launching its Stars & Stripes Series line of 100% American-made storage containers. The company will host a facility tour and demonstration at its Lancaster, South Carolina, facility on November 11.

Inland, Devon Finish Michigan Development

Inland Real Estate Investment Corporation and Devon Self Storage completed construction of a storage facility in Fraser, Michigan. The team converted a former industrial facility originally built in 1975.

Beeckman Becomes EquiCap VP

Andy Beeckman has joined self storage brokerage EquiCap Commercial as vice president. He will oversee investment sales in the southeast and south-central states.

NAI Capital Turns Site for Development

NAI Capital Commercial brokered the sale of a 1.71-acre development site in Bakersfield, California. The brokers secured the unentitled site, guided the entitlement process and within three weeks of closing, facilitated the resale to a vertical self storage developer.

SROA Closes Largest Fund

SROA Capital closed SROA Capital Fund IX with fund commitments of $865 million and $250 million in co-investment commitments from limited partners. This is SROA’s largest fund to date.

Centerbridge, Reframe Plan Storage Investment

Centerbridge Partners and Reframe Holdings formed a joint venture to aggregate and own more than $500 million of self storage facilities.

Empire Finishes Oregon Development

Empire Construction & Development completed Logsden Street Self Storage in Bend, Oregon.

UPG Spaces Opens in Texas

UPG Spaces opened Signature Storage in Crandall, Texas.
