Morningstar, Harrison Street Buy Portfolio

 

A joint venture between Harrison Street Asset Management and Morningstar Properties acquired a portfolio of 21 self storage properties located in Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Virginia and Arkansas. 

 

 

 

REITs Set to Announce Earnings

 

The public self storage REITs will announce third quarter earnings at the end of the month. Here’s the schedule:


•    CubeSmart will release financial results after the market close on Thursday, Oct. 30.
•    Extra Space Storage will release results Oct. 29.
•    Public Storage will release results Oct. 29.
•    National Storage Affiliates will release results Nov. 3.
•    SmartStop Self Storage will release results Nov. 5.

 

Marcus & Millichap Sells Ohio Asset


 
Marcus & Millichap brokered the sale of North Town Storage in Fremont, Ohio. 

 

H.I.G. Launches Italian Storage Platform

 

London-based H.I.G. Capital established a new self storage platform in Italy following the acquisition of its first five facilities in the country. The properties will operate under the brand, Boxengo. 

 

Blackstone Considering Big Yellow Buy

 

Blackstone is assessing whether to make an offer for Big Yellow, Britain’s largest self storage business. The deal is expected to be as large as £2.2 billion. 

 

BETCO Offers New Decking Line

 

BETCO Inc., expanded its decking product line. The custom metal systems are designed to meet the structural and architectural demands of self storage. 

 

Mini Mall Buys 11 from Metro

 

Canadian investor Mini Mall Storage acquired 11 properties from Metro Self Storage. 

 

Brickwork Opens in Pennsylvania

 

Brickwork Self Storage opened in Ferguson Township, Pennsylvania. The facility is managed by Storage Asset Management. 

 

Storage Asset Manager Expanding in Asia

 

CapitaLand Investment Limited’s self storage platform, Extra Space Asia, is investing nearly S$100 million in its first build-to-suit development in Singapore and acquiring three facilities in Tokyo, Japan.
