NSA Plans Major Solar Capacity

 

National Storage Affiliates Trust and Solar Landscape have partnered to install new solar capacity on rooftops across the company’s nationwide portfolio.  The team plan to develop at least 100 megawatts of solar capacity, which represents about 8.5 million square feet of rooftop space. Solar Landscape will evaluate 1,000 properties in 42 states and Puerto Rico to host solar.

 

OpenTech Owns StorageTreasures

 

OpenTech Alliance now holds 100% ownership of StorageTreasures. OpenTech acquired 51% of the online storage auction platform in 2016 and purchased the remaining 49% in August. OpenTech will now invest in improving the entire life cycle of the lien process.

Inland Private Capital and Devon Self Storage completed construction of a storage facility in Glassboro, New Jersey. It’s the eighth projected delivered in a 10-property fund.

AAAA Self Storage Management Group will manage All American Storage in Ruckersville, Virginia. AAAA is part of The Nicholson Companies.

 

Flex Storage Expanding in Georgia

 

Flex Storage expanded its facility in Canton, Georgia. The project will be completed in 2025.

 

La Terra Funds California Project

 

La Terra Development secured an $18.2 million construction loan to develop Raymer Self Storage in Van Nuys, California. Public Storage will manage the facility.

AAAA Self Storage Management Group unveiled ACCESS+, a free digital wallet pass that allows customers to never worry about forgetting their gate code or handle payments.

 

PACE Loan Made for Michigan Project

 

PACE Loan Group closed a $1.5 million C-PACE Loan on a storage project under construction in Romulus, Michigan. The C-PACE loan will be used for the building envelope, Energy Star windows, HVAC, plumbing and LED lighting.

Ackerman & Co. and Trout Daniel & Associates brokered the sale of storage facility in Canton, Georgia, on behalf of StorageMart. The seller was SMV Hudson LLC.

Campbell Joins Commercial Insurer

 

Storage veteran Terry Campbell has joined Johnson Insurance in Mocksville, North Carolina, as a commercial insurance specialist. Campbell was previously CEO of Copper Storage Management, a leader in storage lending with Live Oak Bank and spent 20 years with BETCO.
