Versal Sells in Texas

Versal brokered the sale of Spartan Storage in Montgomery, Texas. Lakewood Realty Investments was the buyer, and Spartan Storage was the Texas-based seller.

Developer Adds in Connecticut

Diamond Point Development and Castle Hill Investors opened a storage facility in Danbury, Connecticut. CubeSmart Self Storage will manage the property.

FreeUp Grows Staff

FreeUp Storage hired Melissa Robbins as vice president of marketing, and Derrick Harris as vice president of operations. FreeUp Storage is owned by Spartan Investment Group and operates 62 storage properties.

Money Saver Opens

Money Saver Storage has opened a storage facility in Stanwood, Washington. West Coast Self-Storage will manage the property.

OpenTech Announces Partnership

OpenTech Alliance has partnered with Wirepas to enhance the connectivity for INSOMNIAC SmartLock. The partnership extends the smart-lock’s battery life and reduces bandwidth required to operate the locking system.

SmartStop Has 50th Solar Facility

SmartStop Self Storage REIT announced a sustainability milestone with its 50th property, located in Chula Vista, California, now operating under solar power. The 50 properties span 12 states.

Carolina Secure Storage opened in the former Henderson Dispatch building in Henderson, North Carolina.

Janus Adds New Lock Style

Janus International Group announced Nokē Ion, an inside the door, magnetic, hardwired smart locking system. Along with Nokē ONE, the two smart locking technologies support smart access applications.

NSA Promotes Cameron

National Storage Affiliates Trust promoted Melissa Cameron to Chief Marketing Officer. She was previously senior vice president of customer acquisitions.

East Penn Has New Location

East Penn Self Storage opened a new location in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Grove Joins IREGC

The Investment Real Estate Group of Companies hired Josh Grove as senior staff accountant. IREGC is based in York, Pennsylvania, and operates Moove In Self Storage.

Lighthouse Opens in Kentucky

Lighthouse Storage opened a facility in Henderson, Kentucky. This is Lighthouse Storage’s 17th facility.
