U-Haul Buying 78 from W.P. Carey

 

W.P. Carey will sell 78 storage facilities to U-Haul, the company’s largest tenant. The sale is valued at $465 million.

 

 

 

 

 

Pilgrim to Convert North Carolina Asset

 

Pilgrim Acquisition has purchased the former Inmar headquarters in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and plans to convert it to self storage.

 

Virginia Facility Expanded

 

Peterson Companies completed the expansion of Virginia Gateway Self Storage in Gainesville, Virginia.

 

Snapbox Buys Four in North Carolina

 

CBRE brokered the sale of a four-property storage portfolio in North Carolina to Snapbox Self Storage for $10.6 million. The properties are located in West Jefferson and Millers Creek. Indecro Development was the seller.

 

Survey: Technology Will Ease Operations

 

A recent survey from SpareBox Technologies indicates that 90% of self storage owners, operators and managers agree that new technologies will make their jobs easier and businesses more competitive. About one-third have yet to implement any form of remote management with 40% citing installation costs as the primary reason.

 

U-Haul Makes Texas Acquisition

 

U-Haul acquired a construction site in San Antonio, Texas, and plans to build a storage facility. The facility will open in 2026.

 

SecureSpace Adds in California

 

SecureSpace acquired Stor-Mor Self Storage in Rosemead, California. The property has been rebranded SecureSpace Rosemead.

 

Smart Space Opens in Texas

 

Smart Space Self Storage has opened in McKinney, Texas.
