CBRE Sells Georgia Assets

 

CBRE’s Self Storage Advisory Group brokered the sale of Gwinnett Self Storage, a three-property portfolio, to Wentworth Property Company for $43.5 million. CBRE represented the seller, a private investor. The properties are in Lawrenceville and Lilburn, Georgia.

 

Canada’s Sunbird Flying South

 

Sunbird Storage, one of Canada’s largest storage operators, will open its first US facility in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, in June.

 

Talonvest Closes $65M Loan

 

Talonvest Capital, Inc. closed a $65 million loan for a seven-asset portfolio in Texas, Florida and North Carolina. The loan was secured on behalf of a joint venture between Andover Properties and Angelo Gordon. Talonvest members on the team were Kim Bishop, Jim Davies, Tom Sherlock, Mason Brusseau and Lauren Maehler.

 

SkyView Brokers Virginia Property

 

SkyView Advisors brokered the sale of Harbour View Self Storage in Chesapeake, Virginia. Brandon Lavern, Aaron Sanchez and Scott Schoettlin managed the transaction.

 

City Line Names Carr CIO

 

City Line Capital has named Ben Carr its Chief Investment Officer. Carr was most recently president and CIO of Go Store It. City Line Capital is a real estate firm based in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania.

 

Storage360 Launches Platform

 

Storage360 has launched as an end-to-end, cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) property technology platform to help storage owners improve revenue, reduce expenses and manage operations. Storage360 is led by Stephen Sandecki and Cameron Urry.

 

InSite Planning Seattle Project

 

InSite Property Group plans a storage project in Seattle, Washington, according to Daily Journal of Commerce. Jackson Main Architects is working on the design. SecureSpace will brand and manage the property.

 

Arcland Opens in West Virginia

 

Arcland Property Co. has opened a new facility in Martinsburg, West Virginia. The property is branded and managed by Self Storage Plus. This marks Arcland’s 33rd property.

 

Public Storage Adding in Florida

 

Public Storage has proposed building a new facility near Delray Beach, Florida. The company has a vacant site under contract.

 

Self Storage Plus Implements SSM Cloud

 

Self Storage Plus has completed the roll out of SSM Cloud across its portfolio of 66 properties. SSM Cloud is a product of Self Storage Manager Inc.

 

Cape Coral Halts Development

 

The Cape Coral, Florida, City Council approved a nine-month moratorium on accepting applications and giving permits for new self storage facilities. Storage units account for 11% of commercial space in Cape Coral.  

 

U-Haul Plans California Project

 

U-Haul will open a new facility in San Luis Obispo, California. The company acquired 4 acres and will build a new facility, according to The Tribune.

 

Lindsey Sells Arkansas Property

 

Lindsey Self Storage Group brokered the sale of Recreational Storage in Royal, Arkansas, to a private buyer. John Lindsey, Jim Ritchie and Matt Rosendale managed the transaction.

 

Moove In Adds in Pennsylvania

 

Moove In Self Storage acquired two Pennsylvania storage facilities. They are Cloverleaf Self Storage in Jonestown and Storage Sense in Harrisburg.
