Drive-Up Storage Bets on Northeast

Maya Capital Partners LLC acquired three properties in the Northeast that will operate under MCP’s brand, Drive-Up Storage. The properties are in New Jersey and Connecticut.

REITs to Announce Earnings

Self storage’s public REITs are set to announce 3^rd quarter earnings for the period ending September 30, 2022. Here’s the schedule for conference calls:

CubeSmart, Friday, Oct. 28, 11 am EST.

Public Storage, Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 9 am PDT.

Extra Space Storage, Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 1 pm EST.

Life Storage, Thursday, Nov. 3, 9 am EST.

National Storage Affiliates, Thursday, Nov. 3 at 1 pm EST.

Franklin Street Brokers Storage Deals

Franklin Street brokered the following deals:

Kensington Self Storage in Kankakee, Illinois. David Perlleshi and Frank DeSalvo managed the transaction.
JI Mini Storage in Newton, North Carolina. Perlleshi and DeSalvo worked the deal.

Marcus & Millichap Sells Texas Assets

Marcus & Millichap brokered the sale of a Seguin, Texas portfolio of five stores. Dave Knobler and Chico LeClaire managed the transaction.

Kraus Joins Store Space

Store Space has named Timothy Kraus director of digital marketing. Kraus was previously with Ping Identity.

Global Celebrates with Nasdaq Bell Ringing

Global Self Storage Inc., (REIT) celebrated its sixth anniversary on the Nasdaq October 5 by ringing the market’s closing bell. CEO Mark C. Winmill was joined on the platform by members of the Global team.

Louisiana Sears Conversion Coming

A former Sears building at The Acadiana Mall in Lafayette, Louisiana, will be converted to storage by Star Lafayette LLC, an entity registered with Ted Filer and Mustard Street Management. Extra Space Storage will manage the facility.

Illinois Storage Opens

Metro East Mini Storage opened in Glen Carbon, Illinois. The facility is owned by Keith and Kim Bridges.

Midcoast Sells North Carolina Asset

Midcoast Properties, Inc. represented the seller of Main Street Self Storage in Havelock, North Carolina. Hal H. Tanner, III was the lead broker.

Safeguard Promotes O’Neill

Safeguard Self Storage has promoted Dylan O’Neill to vice president of development.
