Meridian Storage Group brokered the following sales:

All Aboard Storage in Flagler Beach, Florida. Patrick Kidder represented the seller, a regional operator, and secured the purchaser, a large private operator. 

Main Gate Storage in Hinesville, Georgia. Taylor Dooley and Kidder represented the seller, a private individual and sourced the purchaser, a regional operator. 

56 Self Storage located in Dover, New Hampshire. Ken DeVaul and Kidder represented the seller, a private owner, and secured the purchaser, a large private owner.

Drop it and Lock it, a five-property portfolio in Victoria, Texas. DeVaul and Kidder represented the seller, a private owner, and the buyer, a large private investor.

Shannon Mini Storage in Union City, Georgia. Kidder represented the seller and secured the purchaser, a large operator. 

 

REITs Schedule Earnings Calls

 

Self storage REITs will announce earnings for the three-month period ended Dec. 31 on the following dates:

CubeSmart will release financial results on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022. An accompanying conference call will be held at 11:00 a.m. ET on Friday, February 25.

Life Storage, Inc., will issue financial results Feb. 24, with a conference call on Friday, Feb. 25 at 9:00 a.m. ET.

Public Storage will announce results Tuesday, Feb. 22 with a conference call on Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 9:00 a.m. PST.

Extra Space Storage Inc. will release financial results on Wednesday, Feb. 23 and host a conference call at 1:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, Feb. 24.

National Storage Affiliates Trust will release financial results on Tuesday, Feb. 22 and host a conference call at 1:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Feb. 22. 

 

Madison Capital Buys Las Vegas Site

 

CBRE brokered the sale of a self storage development site in North Las Vegas, Nevada to Madison Capital Group for $3.25 million. Walter Bauer represented the seller, a private investor.

 

Varley to Lead Public Storage Insurance 

 

Public Storage has appointed Marshann Varley senior vice president of insurance. The company runs several programs, including PS Alani and Orange Door Insurance. Varley joins from Aon and replaces Capri Haga, who will retire in April after 16 years.   

 

SkyView Brokers Northern Virginia Asset

 

SkyView Advisors managed the sale of Holly Hill Self Storage in Alexandria, Virginia. David Zehendner and Ryan Clark represented the seller.

 

U-Haul Plans Projects in Wyoming, New Mexico

 

U-Haul has the following projects underway:

U-Haul plans to build a retail, moving and self storage facility at an undeveloped site in Journal Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The project is expected to be completed by the end of next year, according to the Albuquerque Journal.

U-Haul has acquired a former Kmart store in Rock Springs, Wyoming, and plans to convert it into a self storage facility, according to Multi-Housing News.

 

Andover Bets on North Carolina

 

Andover Properties acquired two properties in North Carolina. The properties are along the coast in Calabash and Winnabow. The properties will be rebranded as Storage King USA.

 

Talonvest Organizes $80 million Loan

 

Talonvest Capital negotiated an $80.5 million bridge loan for a four-property self storage portfolio in New York City and the surrounding area. Talonvest completed the assignment for Clark Investment Group, Metro Storage LLC and GoodFriend Self-Storage.

 

Store Space Acquires 10 Properties

 

Store Space Self Storage acquired 10 properties across seven states at the end of 2021. The facilities are located in Germanton and Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, Brandon and Jacksonville, Florida, and Elon, North Carolina. Store Space also took over management of facilities in five other cities.
