NitNeil Partners opened a virtually managed storage location in Huntsville, Alabama. The property is managed by StoreEase.

 

 

 

Bluebird’s Denee Burns Passes

 

Denee Burns, chief of staff for North America at Bluebird Self Storage, passed away after a two-month battle with anaplastic thyroid cancer. Burns previously worked with Tenant Inc., expanding its national presence. 

 

MakoRabco Adds Portable Units

 

MakoRabco has added portable storage units to its lineup of storage product solutions, providing a way for facility owners to add rentable space without permanent construction.

 

Yardi: Storage Rates Fall

 

National advertised rates slipped .2% year-over-year in January as slowing migration, softer demand and development weigh on performance, according to Yardi Matrix’s February self storage report.

Argus Brokers Mississippi Portfolio


Argus Self Storage Advisors brokered the sale of a three-property storage portfolio in Mississippi. Radiant Storage was the seller, and Homegrown Self Storage was the buyer. The locations were in Pascagoula, Gautier and Ocean Springs. 

 

Safely to Convert Movie Theater

 

Safely Store purchased a former movie theater in North Bergen, New Jersey, and will convert it to a self storage facility. 

 

Tulfra, Hampshire Plan Jersey Storage


A joint venture between Tulfra Real Estate and Hampshire Real Estate Companies has received financing from JLL Capital Markets to develop a storage facility in North Haledon, New Jersey. Public Storage will manage the property. 

 

Janus to Layoff Employees in Houston

 

Janus International Group will lay off 113 employees at a Houston, Texas, manufacturing facility.
