DXD Opens San Antonio Development

 

DXD Capital opened a development in San Antonio, Texas’s Alamo Ranch submarket. Extra Space Storage will operate the property. 

 

 

 

Asking Rates Growing

 

Advertised rates for self storage nationwide posted their highest growth in almost three years in August, according to Yardi Matrix. Rate growth of .3% exceeded the .1% growth recorded in July.  

 

Talonvest Locks Down Hanora Loan 

 

Talonvest Capital secured a $19.2 million loan for Hanora Investment Group for two storage facilities in southern California. The properties are in American Canyon and Claremont. 

 

Spartan Buys 7 in Houston

 

Spartan Investment Group acquired seven storage facilities located throughout Houston’s submarkets. The deal marks Spartan’s single largest purchase. The seven facilities are in Champion Forest, Eldridge, Katy, Rosenberg, Stuebner, Sugar Land and Summerwood. 

 

Etude Buys 9 in West

 

Etude Capital acquired nine storage properties for $166 million from a single seller. The properties are in California and Nevada and will be managed by Extra Space Storage. 

 

Storwell Expands to Montana

 

Turnbull Equity acquired Secure-It Mini Storage in Billings, Montana. The property will be branded Storwell Storage.

 

Inland/Devon Completes Philly Conversion

 

Inland Real Estate Investment Corporation and Devon Self Storage completed a conversion of the former Moulton Ladder Manufacturing Company into a new storage facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 

 

Bergmann Named President of CAPCO

 

Nicholas Bergmann has been named president of CAPCO General Contracting and CAPCO Steel Inc., which celebrate their 40th anniversary this year.

 

IREGC, Developers Plan Maryland Moove In

 

Investment Real Estate Group of Companies and Maryland developers Steve Hershey and Doug James will begin construction of Moove In Self Storage in Easton, Maryland. The facility is expected to open in 2026.

 

Lighthouse Buys in Indiana

 

Lighthouse Storage acquired the former French Lick Storage in French Lick, Indiana. This is Lighthouse Storage’s 25th facility. 

 

Rollwitz Joins Right Move Storage

 

Right Move Storage named Jeremy Rollwitz as senior vice president. He will lead growth initiatives, enhance operations and grow the third-party management platform.
