JLL Capital Markets brokered the sale of Driftwood Self Storage in Austin, Texas. The seller was The Jenkins Organization, and the buyer was Platinum Storage Group.

 

 

 

REITs to Announce Operating Results

 

The public REITs are set to announce first quarter operating results. Here’s the schedule:

•    Public Storage will release results on Tuesday, April 29 after the market close.
•    Extra Space Storage will release results on Tuesday, April 29.
•    CubeSmart will release financial results on Thursday, May 1.
•    NSA will release results Monday, May 5.

 

Vermont Storage Refinanced

 

Eastern Union arranged $9.4 million in refinancing for Integrity Community Partners to renovate a property in Springfield, Vermont, to add self storage.

 

Public Storage, Ki to Buy Australian Operator

 

Public Storage and Ki Corporation submitted a takeover bid of Abacus Storage King. Ki is already Abacus’ majority shareholder. Abacus Storage King operates 126 properties in Australia and New Zealand.  

 

IRE Buys in New Jersey

 

Investment Real Estate acquired a facility in Byram Township, New Jersey. IRE operates the Moove In Self Storage brand.

 

Andover Acquires Virginia Asset

 

Andover Properties acquired a facility in Norfolk, Virginia, which will be rebranded to Storage King USA.

 

Harvest Properties Buys in California

 

Harvest Properties acquired Vallejo Self Storage in Vallejo, California, from Taylor Theus Holdings and Iron Point Partners. Extra Space Storage will operate the facility.

 

U-Store Celebrates Milestone

 

U-Store celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. The family-owned company was founded by Harry S. Sellers and Bernard Fensterwald Jr. Since 2022, U-Store has been managed by Self Storage Plus.

U-Haul Moving & Storage of Lancaster opened in East Hempfield Township, Pennsylvania.

 

Investor Buys Virginia Storage

 

Delta Citation acquired Muddy Creek Self Storage in King George, Virginia.
